MARIANNE VILLANUEVA's fiction has appeared in Potomac Review, Juked, Crab Orchard Review, Your Impossible Voice, J Journal, New Orleans Review, Rhino Magazine, The Asian American Literary Review, and many other literary magazines. A finalist for the O. Henry Literature Prize and England's Saboteur Awards, she is also a three-time Pushcart nominee, a winner of the Juked Fiction Prize (2007), a two-time California Arts Council Literary Fellow, and the recipient of a Stanford University Creative Writing Fellowship. She has just completed a fourth fiction collection, and is continuing to work on her first novel, about an 18th century Spanish priest who is sent to the Philippines to fight demons.
