STREETCOLOR is the Mendocino Art Center’s Artist in Residence in Fiber Arts for 2015-16. She is known around Mendocino for her townwide feltbombing installation in 2014, Mendocino Crayon Box, wrapping 20 buildings in handmade felt. She was the resident artist at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in December 2014, and has done yarnbombing and felting with the San Jose Museum of Art, The Oakland Museum, The Crocker Museum in Sacramento, and has done many street art blitzes all over northern California. Her yarnbombing has been featured in Time, Oakland and Diablo magazines, in numerous knitting and spinning magazines, on NPR, Good Morning America and in Chinese and Ukrainian fashion magazines. She has taught felting for 12 years and finds it endlessly sustaining and intriguing.
