SUE BRADFORD, fine art
I am a multi-disciplinary artist working in printmaking, mixed-media, textile, encaustic, and paint.
I am currently expanding a body of work that explores being female and feminine lineage along with the words used to define gender and iconographic imagery. While I have been working on this body of work for over four years, recent political events have served as a new inspiration and have found their way into my work. This body of work came from an interest in the words used to define “girl” and “woman”; same person, different ages, different words used to describe them. How does the way others see us affect how we see ourselves?
These and other questions are what compel me to continue making this work.
