CLASS DESCRIPTION
This workshop is designed to build CONFIDENT COLOR CHOICES. It is about Color Mixing For Water Media Painters.

A few years back I developed a unique approach to color mixing that has stimulated a number of my artist students to enrich their color palettes in significant ways. That fact greatly influenced me to introduce this method in a three-day workshop. We will do considerable color exercises with this approach and apply them to paintings. Easily applicable to the watercolorist, acrylic and oil painter, although in this workshop we will be working primarily with water based media. No dry media. Previous painting experience is necessary.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Colorist and visionary American artist MIRA M. WHITE is an award-winning painter with an exhibition record both domestic and international. When viewing her multi-media artworks one bears witness to a personal mythology of deeply felt images that stem from a lifelong preoccupation with and devotion to life as an ongoing journey of change and transformation.

Her professional responsibilities include a full teaching schedule of classes and workshops in multiple media. Widely respected in Northern California Bay Area art communities, she has in recent years broadened her teaching venues to include workshops in Florida, North Carolina, Nebraska and Washington.

Mira earned a BFA with High Distinction, MFA with Distinction California College of Arts & Crafts. She is a member of CWA and IEA (International Encaustic Artists).

Encaustic Arts Magazine featured her work in its June 2015 issue. Other publications have honored her work as well, including Gathering Clouds in 2014, Inquiring Mind in 2012 and 2014, and The Pastel Journal in January/February 2011. Her work is included in the 2010 anthology Best In American Water Media, and she is also featured in the recent anthology, Journeys Into Abstraction. A new book, Art Journey Abstract Painting, available in 2017, will include her work.
