CLASS DESCRIPTION
This workshop introduces the art of wire-weaving. Students will complete four projects. The first three, progressively more difficult designs, will teach the fundamentals of weaving techniques. Students will work on these together as a group. For the fourth project, students will select a design based on their progress level to work on individually or in smaller groups. The instructor will provide step-by-step instructions for each project, and will also encourage students to customize their designs according to their own artistic vision. Discussions and demonstrations will include design process, several construction methods, and weave-pattern variations. The course will also include an overview of tools and supplies, as well as types of wires, their properties, and uses.

The Susan E. Wood Jewelry Studio is available for use for a fee the days following your workshop should you like to continue practicing new skills or finish projects started in class. For more details or to schedule extra workdays, please contact Nancy Gardner, Jewelry Coordinator/Studio Manager.
