CLASS DESCRIPTION
This iPhone Artistry intermediate workshop takes you on a journey with the lightest and simplest tool possible for making strong artworks, using images, and parts of images, textures you have created yourself, and apps you have learned, to create more intricate and complicated, or simpler and elegant art works.

Apply more advanced creativity to enhance images by learning to draw, paint, use brushes and tools and effects and mixing things up. You will learn how to emulate traditional forms of art including watercolor, acrylic, mixed media; layered images, collages, and montages using apps that simulate some of the effects available in Photoshop. Learn to add text, and create book covers and pages. We’ll cover sizing of images, resolution, and printing choices.

You will need some experience navigating your phone, setting up files and albums, and some experience with apps in order to get the best out of this class.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
BETH GRIMM is a self-taught artist who combines many mediums. She has studied photography, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, digital art, and is also a writer. Her desire to create and share meaningful images and written works that resonate with the heart and mind becomes quickly obvious to anyone that meets her. She has found the most amazing way to keep things simple. All she needs is her iPhone and she can find subjects every day and create beautiful images and poetry wherever she lands, even if it’s only for 15 minutes! She loves learning and sharing what she knows. This is the same kind of thing she did for 30 years as a lawyer practicing condominium and homeowner association law, producing many books and publications to help people. Now fully retired, she has shifted emphasis to creating art and words that mean something and sharing them with others.
