Garden Paradise • Forest Garden
Come and visit a garden nestled in a forest including giant redwoods and wild rhododendrons. This beautiful farmhouse and guesthouse were designed by David Clayton in 1976, on a parcel of land that was logged and cleared to create open spaces and a large pond. The garden areas were established soon after construction and have evolved over the years into a mix of many plants that includes old roses and various perennials and annuals. Vegetables have been mixed among the plantings, which adds a practical element.
These gardens have been tended by the same two people all of these years and they will be on hand to share their knowledge of gardening in the redwoods.
