17th Annual home & garden tour

Evie & Rob's Garden and Studios

Evie and Rob's garden, situated on three acres a few minutes from the village, has something for everyone. Beginning with a wonderful vegetable garden featuring a tomato terrarium, compost setup, and raised beds, this working garden produces good eating year-round. From here, pathways branch out, some winding around the three acres. Others, with hidden stairways lead to a rose garden with a gazebo overlooking a natural water lily pond and a cattail pond.

Another flower garden leads to two artist studios. Evie's paintings, prints and handmade books are featured in one, and Rob's etchings in the other. Rob's wood sculptures can be seen in a workshop adjacent to the vegetable garden. Attached to the two main studios is a lovely rose arbor, from there a path leads the way to a picnic area and the two ponds. As you look up towards the house you will see spacious decks and a three-story, three-roomed water tower. This is the second time this garden has been featured on the Tour; this garden is even more beautiful now than it was eleven years ago.

Evie was also a past poster artist, and is included in our "Garden Tour Poster Artists Retrospective. "Evie, over the years, has helped the Garden Tour in many ways, this year she painted/decorated 100 lunch boxes, each one a treasure. She said she did this to loosen up, so she could start a more serious painting.
