I moved to Mendocino two years ago with no gardening experience. Clueless as to even the most basic necessities, I enlisted the aid of a landscaper who saw my open plot of dirt as an irresistible opportunity. The hard part is done, but we continue to adapt to the whims of the plants. Some insist on taking over and need to be reined in. Others need to be coaxed.
I’ve discovered that my garden is a peaceful place which does not allow for the intrusions of the outside world.
