In the 15 years since Michael Jolliffe became interested in gardening he has transformed his yard and horse facility into multiple gardens surrounding the house and out-buildings, turning the property into a well-tended, park-like setting. As many as 40 species of flowers and shrubs such as Heathers, Lavender and Rosemary provide year round color while Fuchsias and the towering Echium attract hummingbirds and bees.
The gardens are open, sunny and made more interesting by the multiple berms which allow for new visual discoveries at each turn. By incorporating neighboring and distant trees into the design, the gardens are extended and enhanced.
