MARY T. ANDERSON, a Northern California native, holds an MFA from the State University of New York with graduate work at Parsons School of Design and The
New School of Social Research, NY. She has been a visiting Artist in Ivory Coast, West Africa and an exhibitor and lecturer at the US/China Joint Conference on Women’s Issues in Beijing, China. ERIN DERTNER’s career began under her mother’s tutelage and has continued through the summer workshop format since 1982 alongside many teaching opportunities both here and abroad. Watercolors, Oils and Acrylics have all made their way into her studio, with her current focus being light infused impressionistic landscapes in oil. The cool shadows of the early morning and those that fall long and warm in the evening enliven her creative soul as nothing else. Many of her pieces have been accepted and awarded in a variety of juried exhibitions over the years, and she has a keen eye for choosing award winning paintings when called upon to judge art competitions. She has been exhibiting in galleries for the past 38 years and original works are represented in Mendocino, Napa, Carmel and Lahaina, as well as in her own gallery and frame shop in Fort Bragg, CA, and is also widely used on a variety of gift items from woven wall tapestries to serving trays, note cards and more. According to Erin, “There is no better life than to study the world with paintbrush in hand and a heart full of love and gratitude.” Erin is the 2018 Mendocino Coast Garden Tour Poster Artist.
