Celebrate your love through the creation of original gold rings and exchange them with your beloved on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. For thousands of years, love has been sanctified by the exchange of golden wedding rings. With roots in Paganism, magic and religion, exchanging golden bands is the perfect way for modern lovers to express their devotion as well.

However, rather than buying rings from a commercial jeweler, take a weekend to create rings that are as unique as your relationship. Recycling old gold from your undesired jewelry (the green part of the workshop), we will fashion it into new rings with a new purpose – the celebration of your love.

Over the course of the weekend, we will explore the history and meaning of wedding rings along with gentle practices to bring you closer to your beloved. You will learn how to selectively recycle your scrap gold. Then you and your partner will melt and pour your gold together into molds using the ancient process of sand casting. During finishing, you and your partner will hammer your desires and intentions for the relationship into the rings. After polishing, your rings will be ready to wear for a lifetime. On the final day we will celebrate our love as each couple exchanges rings at a sacred location overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
