CLASS DESCRIPTION
In this leathercrafting class students will design, tool, paint and construct a leather bag chosen from several templates and available sizes. Learn the basics of leather tooling or dig deeper into your skill set as you make an heirloom quality bag from scratch. Work will be done on milled leather which has a nice softness and lightly pebbled texture, while being perfectly suited for light cuts and surprisingly deep texture. Find and hone your unique voice as a bag designer! Learn hand stitching and riveting and take your tooling to a new level with light bodied acrylics and water-based stains. All skill levels welcome.

The Susan E. Wood Jewelry Studio is available for use for a fee the days following your workshop should you like to continue practicing new skills or finish projects started in class. For more details or to schedule extra workdays, please contact Nancy Gardner, Jewelry Coordinator/Studio Manager.
