CLASS DESCRIPTION
During this two-day workshop we will cover ten top tips for working with professional photographers, photo tips for online publishing, best practices for successful applications to art galleries, craft shows, and online exhibitions. In addition this workshop will cover inventory tracking, packing lists, publication and consignment contracts.

The Susan E. Wood Jewelry Studio is available for use for a fee the days following your workshop should you like to continue practicing new skills or finish projects started in class. For more details or to schedule extra workdays, please contact Nancy Gardner, Jewelry Coordinator/Studio Manager.


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
NANZ AALUND’s wide ranging career as a jewelry designer, goldsmith, and educator, began in high school shop classes. After serving as a fine jewelry designer and marketing consultant for Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Tiffany & Co., Aalund taught jewelry and metals classes at the University of Washington and at the Art Institute in Seattle, earning a Masters of Fine Art (MFA/Metals) and a Masters of Education/College and Technical Teaching Curriculum (CTTC).

Some of Aalund's many professional jewelry design awards include an AGTA Spectrum Award, two Gemmy’s Awards, two Platinum Guild International Awards, two Saul Bell Award Finalists, and two DeBeers Diamond’s Today Awards. Her work has been in exhibitions both national and international since the 1980s. She authored the 40 biographies for the book, Masters Gold, published by Lark Books in 2009 and served as technical author and associate editor for Art Jewelry Magazine. Nanz’s most recent publication, “A Jeweler’s Guide to Apprenticeship” for MJSA, received Silver Honors in the AM&P Excel Awards (a national book award) in 2018.

TUITION & FEES
Current MAC Members: $225
Non-members: $250 plus a $45 non-member registration fee

There is a registration fee of $45 for each class for non-members. Current Mendocino Art Center members do not pay a registration fee and may take 10% off each class registration. The discount is reflected in the prices above. Not a member yet? You may sign up below.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made in writing, either by mail or email. If you notify us at least 21 days prior to the first class meeting, you will receive a refund of tuition less a $45 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made after that date for any reason due to our contractual obligations and material acquisitions. If the Art Center is compelled to cancel a class you will receive a full tuition refund. Memberships are non-refundable as they are considered a donation to the Art Center.
