Cloisonné enameling is essentially drawing with wires and filling in around them with glass. Several processes will be discussed but cloisonné will be the primary technique covered. It can be simple or complex. Everyone will learn how to use Harlan's special jig for forming repetitive shapes in cloisonné. Basic metalsmithing / jewelry skills and some enameling experience would be helpful, but beginners are welcome.

The Susan E. Wood Jewelry Studio is available for use for a fee the days following your workshop should you like to continue practicing new skills or finish projects started in class. For more details or to schedule extra workdays, please contact Nancy Gardner, Jewelry Coordinator/Studio Manager.
