This hands-on workshop will focus on both wheel and hand-building methods with a goal of finding a more personal voice within student work. Through demonstrations, slide lectures, studio work and group discussion we will seek to improve student skills, but more, we will seek to clarify strategies for creating expressive, articulate pottery forms and compositions.
The course will be suitable for beginning to advanced levels. We will seek to increase forming skills and understanding at whatever level individuals are working and to assist each student to take the next step in their clay voyage.
In order to focus your investigation, please bring sketches of forms/ideas that you may want to pursue during this course.
