CLASS DESCRIPTION
You're not a good Potter until you can make good handles, lids, and spouts. There are a multitude of ways to make handles, lids, and spouts, and none of them are necessarily wrong. Yet to make any of these three elements well is a real challenge, it takes a lot of care attention and trial by error. This online class will include demo videos, slide lectures, as well as interactive feedback and discussions. The aim is to help you to understand the functional details that make these elements work well and how those functional elements relate to aesthetic beauty. Both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques will be covered. We will be conducting this class on the Zoom platform.
