Additional inspiration will come from both personal observations and images of works by contemporary abstract artists.
Although primarily aimed toward oil-based media, acrylic and gouache painters are welcome. Layering ideas and practice are valuable for all paint media. Bring the materials you like to use. The materials list offers suggestions for additions to your materials base as well as materials specific to this workshop.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Post’s mixed media abstractions are exhibited nationally and represented in many public and private collections. Her work is featured in the award-winning book, Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts and Conversations by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin. She teaches in art centers across the United States and at her studio, Art 26, in Davis, California. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Post has a master’s degree in ceramics and art education from Northern Arizona University
