Join ceramic artist Wesley Wright and learn to sculpt animal heads and portrait busts in clay! Participants can create any animal, exotic, common, or your own pet. This weekend intensive will give students the opportunity to create detailed, expressive and refined work. Through Zoom Wesley will present process videos and live demonstrations as well as critique and mark up images and videos of student work in process. Wesley will demonstrate hollow building techniques, how to use references imagery, and other processes. Day 1 will focus on establishing the overall form. Day 2 will deal with subtleties and details such as rendering eyes, flesh, musculature, and of course fur! The final product will be a bust or head sculpture that can be mounted on a wall or free standing.
