A multi-media approach to watercolor landscape painting using crayons, pencils, markers and watercolor. This workshop is not about careful and precise use of the materials. It is about quick expression and learning how to take chances and experiment. We engage a wide variety of content-rich exercises and learn basic techniques of paint application and control. We will paint abstractly, symbolically and representationally.
We will use the landscape, postcards and imagination to guide us. We make excellent use of accident, intention, and alacrity of dispatch (speed and thumbnail size images). The purpose of the workshop is about letting go, creating freely, trusting instincts, and being fearless. All artist levels welcome. No experience necessary.
