Stop by, pick up your tour and lunch tickets, peruse the garden shop and wander the galleries, featuring a Members' Garden-Themed Exhibit and a special showing of Dorr Bothwell's artwork.
Tickets previously purchased online may also be picked up at will call at the Mendocino Art Center Saturday, May 10, beginning at 9 am.
Enjoy a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a diverse selection of some of the Mendocino Coast's most beautiful private gardens on this self-guided tour. Also look for the return of the popular garden shop and plant sale and a luncheon at the Stanford Inn's Ravens Restaurant benefiting MAC. There will also be a wine and hors d'oeuvre reception at Le Mirabeau the evening before the tour. The Garden Tour is the Art Center's largest annual fundraiser.
Dorr Bothwell is the 2014 Mendocino Coast Garden Tour poster artist. Her 1964 oil painting, "Mendocino Fences-Zacha Roses," is pictured above on the right. The image is used with permission of Marlys Mayfield, trustee, Dorr Bothwell estate. Dorr's artwork will be featured in the Mendocino Art Center's Gallery Ten, May 2 to June 2.
An Evening at Le Mirabeau, May 9, 5 pm – 7 pm
Kick off your Garden Tour weekend with an evening at Le Mirabeau, Friday, May 9, 5 pm to 7 pm. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Emily Symonds, Greg Braden and Wild Fish Restaurant; fine wines by Goldeneye, Migration, Husch Vineyards and Handley Cellars, and music by Ira Rosenberg and Sally Wells. Gaze over the sea from this ocean view home and warm yourself by the fire pit (weather permitting).

Benefit Lunch at the Stanford Inn's Ravens Restaurant
May 1o, 12 pm – 2 pm
On Garden Tour day, the Ravens Restaurant at the Stanford Inn by the Sea, the north coast's premier organic vegan restaurant, will host a special gourmet lunch. The meal is not the only sensory pleasure, with a breathtaking view from the dining room extending from the Big River Estuary to the Pacific Ocean.
Inspired by the Stanford’s Certified Organic gardens, the Ravens Restaurant is outstanding and nationally acclaimed for vegetarian cuisine. Guests at Stanford Inn, as well as local Mendocino residents, consider Ravens Restaurant to be an essential dining experience on the Mendocino Coast.
Garden Shop & Plant Sale at MAC
On May 9, 10 am to 5 pm, and May 10, 10 am to 5 pm, browse the Mendocino Art Center's Garden Shop, featuring an array of plants, creative handcrafted garden art and many other surprises!
The Mendocino Art Center grounds are beautifully landscaped, primarily with native plants, and the Zacha Sculpture Garden features not only sculpture, but a lovely tiled courtyard surrounded by art studios.

The Mendocino Art Center shines its Main Gallery spotlight on the all-media artwork of its contributing members in the Members’ Garden-Themed Exhibit, coinciding with the Art Center's Garden Tour, May 10. Each year, the Mendocino Art Center presents two exhibits featuring the finest works created by the Art Center's members. A highly competitive juried selection process leads to an exceptionally creative, high quality, and much anticipated gallery showing with a wide spectrum of artwork, including paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, photography and more.
This year's exhibit is juried by Suzi Marquess Long.
Please join us for our 2nd Saturday Artists Reception, May 10, to celebrate our member artists exhibiting their work. A drawing for Garden Tour door prizes will take place at 6 pm.
