Practicing Artists in Retreat

Our Practicing Artists in Retreat (PAIR) program gives practicing artists an opportunity to live and create on our campus.

Studio Space

As a PAIR participant, you will be provided with studio space based on the needs of your medium. Our studios are best set up for ceramicists, jewelers, and other visual artists, but we do our best to accommodate artists of all kinds.

Lodging

PAIR participants are provided with a private studio apartment, including a bed, small kitchen, and bathroom. Laundry is also available on site, as well as some communal spaces that PAIR participants are welcome to spend time in.

Community

PAIR participants are part of the vibrant community that gathers on the MAC campus—including yearlong and short-term artists in residence, visiting artists, workshop instructors and students, and locals.

Program fee

Our PAIR program costs $2500 per month, which includes housing, utilities, and studio space. If cost is a barrier, scholarships may be available. Also please consider our other residencies, for which scholarship options are also available. Please note that application windows for each residency differs, but we have multiple opportunities to apply throughout the year.
