Workshop Description:
After wrapping a frame with various fun fibers, you'll add fabric, yarn and mixed media embellishments within and around the frame to create a one-of-a-kind gorgeous piece for the wall. No art experience is necessary, and all levels are most welcome.
About the Instructor:
Vicki Assegued is an experimental and innovative fiber artist and national instructor, always finding new and unique ways to work with her materials. Through her creative process, she explores many techniques to weave, layer, attach, coil, tie, knot, twist, build and develop her pieces so they are vibrant and engaging. She then shares all of her techniques with her students, supporting them to create their own gorgeous and unique fiber art.
Required Materials: Please bring fabric scissors, sewing needle and thread
Optional Materials: Optionally, you're encouraged to bring anything from your stash including used clothing, fabric scraps, yarn, string, trim, fringe, beads, small objects, and any other decorative elements that can be attached to your piece.
