Workshop Description: Badan Collective’s Intro to Tatreez Workshop is a beginner’s level class ideal for students with little to no embroidery experience. There is a 30-45 minute portion in the beginning of class where Bayan Fares, your Tatreez Instructor, will dive into Palestinian textile history sharing photos and stories along the way. This will be followed by a demonstration on the mechanics of cross-stitching where she will walk students through how to stitch with this technique step by step. The remainder of the workshop is a hands-on, interactive experience. Students will take home their finished piece.
