Workshop Description: The monks will work with children and adults to demonstrate beautiful Tibetan calligraphy, a tradition that has been practiced in Tibet for over 800 years. Following the workshop, we will walk to the Mendocino Headlands. There, we will participate in a traditional Community Blessing ceremony held at the ocean. This will be open to the public and all are welcome to join. A community potluck after the class will be held 5 - 7 pm and ALL are welcome!

About the Instructor: The Monks from the Gaden Shartse Monastery are embarking on a world tour, visiting the north coast from March 6 to 15, 2026. Their mission is to share their culture, practices, and paths to inner peace and compassion. Additionally, the tour aims to raise funds for the construction of a new Khangtsen, or dormitory. During their stay, they will create a sand mandala, deliver dharma talks, offer a community dinner at the Caspar Community Center and more.
