Workshop Description:
Dive into the enchanting world of natural dyeing with our hands-on Eco-Printing Workshop. Designed for beginners and creative enthusiasts alike, this workshop introduces the fundamentals of using plants to dye silk and other natural fibers, creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints. Over 3-4 immersive hours, you’ll learn essential techniques, familiarize yourself with 3-5 dye plants, and gain a foundational understanding of eco-printing—all while cultivating a deeper appreciation for the natural world around you.

About the Instructor:
Chelsea Wills works and lives in Northern California, . She is an artist, writer, educator, and community organizer whose work centers memory, imagination, and reverent curiosity. Her work exists at the nexus of place, change, and stories. This takes her to faraway places, like Mayan kitchens, crumbling haciendas, and megacity markets of Mexico, and also close to home, from the shoreline of Northern California and the last tenacious farms in the Silicon Valley to her own home garden.

Materials fee of $20 to be paid to instructor on first day of class. Cash is appreciated.
