Workshop Description:
This in-person weekend workshop is perfect for both the beginner getting started with relief printmaking and more advanced artists, looking to move into color printing. We will be exploring both wood and linoleum carving, accurate registration systems, ink modifiers, tips on drawing for a reduction cut relief project, strategizing for full color reduction printing, a look back at the history of relief printing, plus all the other stuff that comes up. This is a satisfying, non-toxic, easy clean-up art form that is ideal for your home studio. Bring images that interest you and whatever materials you have—I will provide paper, carving tools, and ink. Once you get a handle on this process…. the options are infinite!  I’m excited to be back with you all in the MAC studio!
