Workshop Description:
How do you capture the essence of the Mendocino coastline on canvas? How can an understanding of light, shadow, and form bring a landscape to life with depth and dimension? How do you move beyond technique to create a painting that reflects both the natural beauty of the scene and your personal artistic voice? In this weekend plein air painting workshop with Leo Neufeld, students will explore and refine essential skills for capturing coastal landscapes. Through guided practice and individual instruction, participants will learn techniques to observe and interpret the interplay of light, color, and texture unique to the Mendocino coastline. This workshop is perfect for experienced artists seeking to deepen their plein air practice and for new artists eager to learn the foundational principles of capturing the dynamic beauty of nature in their work.
